"Not everyone who says to Me, `Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. (Matthew 7:21, NKJV).
Is Jesus really the Lord of your life?
Are you allowing Him to govern your thoughts, your attitudes,
your speech and your actions? Is your predominant inner drive
and motivation governed by the direction of the Word of God and
the Holy Spirit or do the norms and values of the culture and
society around you control what you think and do?
Are you following Jesus Christ or are Ophra and Dr. Phil the guiding
lights of your philosophy for daily living? Do you live by the
golden rule and the sermon on the mount or are soap operas and
sitcoms what really makes you tick? Are your children being taught
biblical values or are they being groomed by the world system
to buy into an "if it feels good, do it" philosophy.
Who really is the Lord of your life?
With society's norms and values so rapidly declining, it's easy
to be caught up in an attitude that says, "It's ok, everybody's
doing it." Even murder is sanctioned, by calling it "a
woman's right to choose."
Friends, there is a right and there is a wrong and there is a
judgment for sin. You can call it extremism if you want or some
other term designed to marginalize the truth, but the fact is,
Jesus Christ calls us to follow Him in righteous living.
Today, do you really have peace with God? Do you know that you
are saved? If you died this moment, are you sure that your eternity
is secure? Do you know that your sins are forgiven and that you
have a new life in Christ?
"You must be born again," Jesus said. You cannot live
a life stained with sin and be in the kingdom of God at the same
time. You must turn from darkness, sin, depravity and the awful
error of this world and receive Jesus Christ as both Lord and
Savior.
Jesus died on Calvary as a punishment for your sins. He rose from
the dead to give you a new life, free from the bonds of iniquity.
Things can change. You can be free. You can life a righteous life.
Surrender you life today. Believe the Good News and receive that
freedom that is in Christ Jesus. God bless you!
